Will not buy game if i have to ****ing download 45gb. My internet is not all that fast (about 150kbps), so it will take ages. Not all that impressed by the graphics anyway.

Since people were successfully running the beta with FX 6300's and R7 graphics cards, I think the reqs are overstated. I'm confident it will play on my rig. 45GB download? Really?

I bought a key for 40% off but I don't get it until the official release day.

I am very worried about 4k performance seeing as it wont support sli.
Looking back at beta MP performance 4k was capable on a single 980ti and Fury X. I dont see SP would be any different. They also announced there will be "Ultra nightmare" preset above Ultra settings, so that may be a problem, we'll see.

45GB? I hope the textures are better in the final game than the MP Betas. Especially that terrible streaming system. (I hope the SSAO is better too) The 970 requirement makes sense too considering a 980 hard OC'd could hit up to 60% usage at 1600x900 in the last MP OB. Which is starting to irritate the **** out of me honestly, all these games requiring 970's as recommended when they really do not have hugely significant visual upgrades over the console versions. The SP from what i've seen looks like a good mix of Doom 3 and OG Doom, so i'm sure it will be worth playing at least. Even the MP is meh and the box art is a travesty. The music is fantastic though. The lack of SLI support is annoying, do any OGL games support it though? You'd think with Vulkan they could do MultiGPU through that.

The beta that we got was graphically neutered and run on medium quality. The graphics menu was disabled and changes could not be made. So I wouldn't judge performance by the beta at all. Since the engine does not support Multi-GPU and never will I predict that 4K will be unplayable unless run on poorer quality settings. Personally I think the game will flop hard, I predict it to be riddled with bugs just like Rage was when it first hit. Regardless if its running Vulcan or not. MP will last about a month and then die. SP will have no replay value. This game ain't worth the $80.00...

80$? Game is 60$. SP looks like it will have replay value the same as the OG doom did, by having lots of missable secrets and stuff. Let's not kid ourselves, OG Doom wasn't exactly all that replayable or a pinnacle of good game design.

How do you know it was medium quality? It was greyed out, who knows what settings they used in beta. But yeah, we need final product before we judge.

Flop. Probably wont even be in Steam's top 100 after the first 6 months. Just saying...

What I am hoping for out of this Doom Game is Co-op multiplayer like the Original Doom had through local area IPX/SPX networks if you had a network card in your PC back then. Or Null Serial.

Yes indeed. According to the Steam store page it supports Co-op. I just hope they are correct.

You don't have to download anything... Just buy the physical copy on dvd... Problem solved. I can't believe people with slow internet haven't figured out that there are physical copies for a reason...

Games are coming with a day 1 patch several gigabytes large. Some games have skipped including files on disc altogether: see Megal Gear Solid V. Physical copies are dying.

I love all the people calling it a flop already without even playing a moment of the single player, or a single review out.

There may be a big day one patch, but it's not 45GB. Physical media may be dying, as you put it. But it hasn't gone away yet. It's still a viable option for people that don't want to download 45GB because of slow internet or caps. 1GB patch vs 45GB game download is a big difference for somebody like I replied to. Even if the game was only 10GB, a physical copy would still be better for somebody on a slow or capped internet. Again, 1GB patch is smaller than downloading the whole game. I just don't get your argument.

Agreed, I bought GTAV on disc. Had it delivered on day of release, no problem - except having the change 7 discs...

Move. No way I would deal with that BS and the only reason it exists is because muppets keep giving these companies money.

I saw somewhere that the physical copy for this game was only one disc and you still had to download over 40GB.
