When will they realise that we want monster resolution at an affordable price and maybe with 3D, if not at least 120 Hz ... this color profiles is all for nothing !

You make it sound like BenQ sets the price of panels or even makes them. Pretty confident that every company out there knows that consumers want higher resolution, but producing panels that size with no defects costs a lot so you're going to pay for it.

I still don't get how monster resolutions on smartphones can be cheaper than on monitors (and I don't get how they make sense there either). 1080p is ancient, 4k isn't taking off, give us the inbetween as gaming monitors already.

Price equilibrium of demand.
iPhone sold like over 100 million units last year, and then you got the Samsung unit sell through figures and everybody else.
All-in, it's a lot of demand - gaming monitors on the other hand, that's just pitiful figures in comparison, especially when compared to the figures for 1080P screens globally - LCD, Plasma w/e, they are scary figures.

Because the difference of size of the screen.. The production cost increase at the same rate.
on a 5" smartphone with 1920x1080p resolution, the production cost are cheap.. for a tablet 10", a 2560x1600 resolution is ok ( cost way less of a 30" 2560x1600 ).. on a 13" laptop, a 4K resolution is ok. but on a 30", it cost a lot..
if you multiply the numbers of pixels by 2 on a 5" screens, it is cheap, if you do it on a 6x bigger screens ( 30"), it is really not cheap.
Do you want to pay 1500$ for a 24" with a 2560x1600 resolution ? or 1800p resolution ? At this price, this is a really small market when you got 24" under the 300$ and 27" around 500$..

Finally a screen that i like, maybe i will sell my Samsung S27A950D just for this screen:) no 60 hz crap thank god, oke its not ultra hd or ips but who cares ? i prefer this 10 times more then an ips with a ****ty 60hz refresh rate 🙂
If this panel beats my Samsung S27A950D colorwise, and IQ i buy it 🙂

panasonic sell a 65 uhd gamer edition TV .dp latest etc .not sure if it can do 100 % sRGB .but it probably can 5.5 k $

It feels as though 1440p/120 should be the norm by now I believe they're stretching the transition to make more money.

Is there any 1440p 120 Hz even ? The manufacturers market the 1440p as professional model for those unwilling or unable to pay for the full 1600p 30".

its 3D you need TN its fast. I have a Asus 24 144 and you can really tell the difference at 120/144.
The killer here is this is 27" at 1920x1080. 3D or not it will be awful.
