It runs pretty smooth, better than alpha build.

Seems like basically the same graphics options as BF1, from what I can remember. I'm expecting it to run as well as BF1 in terms of like for like settings vs fps, but perhaps just a little bit slower as perhaps they've improved graphics a little over BF1 (not talking ray tracing here).

Is DX12 still bad compared to DX11?

A little OC will get the performance over 60 fps for the 1080ti. Not bad. I guess I'll skip Turing for now. 🙂

It runs alot slower than bf1... in bf1 i get 60+ fps with single gpu, here i get 40.

Right, thanks for the info, well that sucks! Is there a particular setting that is more costly than the corresponding setting in BF1 then? That's gonna be a difficult question to answer unless you've done a lot of testing & a lot of like-for-like comparisons with BF1, but figured I'd ask anyway!

No beta benchmark review 🙁 I sad

I am running identical settings to bf1... i reckon is simply geometry and asset quality being higher making it more demanding

Have any of you guys tried it with single channel 16 gb ram? I have i7 6700, gtx 1060 and it hovers between 40-60 fps whereas this one plays with almost steady 60 with dual channel 8gb: [youtube=BVrkmKVZq8Q] Does it really makes such huge difference between dual and single channel ram?

Are you running the lates NVIDIA driver optimized for BF V? (assuming you have a NVIDIA card) 399.07 I think
Are you being funny? It wont let you start the game, unless you have the specific driver for it...

Yes only having half the bandwidth, which is what you got with single channel, is going to hurt your performance..

Hmm, sounds like I'm gonna have to turn down a few settings to run 144 fps then. Haven't decided when I'm gonna buy the new one; I'm a late starter to BF1 as only been playing it about 6 months roughly, so I might just continue playing BF1 and then buy BF V when it's on sale.

Single channel RAM will hurt your CPU related performance really quite significantly, never have single channel RAM (if you can help it) on a gaming machine. BF 1 (and I'm assuming BF V) is very hard on your CPU, so your performance loss makes sense when running single channel RAM.

Game utilizes threads quite nicely: https://i.imgur.com/2qZHGqo.png
Yep, so there's 16 threads there being used quite equally. Can you remember what BF1 tops out at in terms of thread usage - how many can it use? I guess it's good if BF V can support more cores than BF 1.

BF1: https://i.imgur.com/omPyh1K.png Total CPU utilization is a bit lower here than what you can see when it's at it's highest, but the thread-scaling will look pretty much the same anyway. edit: also I get a flat ~60C CPU temp with my 2700X in BFV (there's a +10C error in that Afterburner shot). In BF1 temps constantly spike up and crash down between 55-75C. Will be interesting to see CPU performance benchmarks of this!

Still looking into it, I might give it another go tomorrow. i just need to pinpoint a fixed position in the map where I can do a recording run (and not get shot all the time 🙂 )

Ah, looks like BF1 is only using 10 threads for you there, so BF V looks like it's increased it's ability to use more threads than BF1 - you had 16 threads being equally utilised in you BF V screenshot. Well, that's good news for CPU performance in BF V.

I have to say - even though I'm not on board with the battlefield series since, well, they screwed the BF3 community by netcode suffocation, this does look very impressive graphically. Cap off to DICE, but, it really is no better than what other studios are pulling out of the bag right now, and...I can still see classic GFX glitches, like pop-up, LOD changes etc

That video shows the Ti getting as low as mid/high 1600s. A 2000mhz clock should give it a 15-20% boost.
