799 for a router?
Oh my, it must be the RGB.

For 799€ I can imagine a few scenarios involving high end network gear.
Sans RGB, that is.

Honestly, take it from someone who bought an ASUS WiFi 6 router, wait a few years when the spec is released for new refreshed models. They'll be significantly cheaper and actually have > 1gbps ports. While I am very happy with my purchase I have also learnt what I, as a consumer, need to do the next time I upgrade my router. If and when that is done, as I wire everything by ethernet.

I wanted to wait for this, but this is a downgrade from GT-AXE16000
GT-AXE16000 has 2.5Gb WAN + two 10G ports [makes sense right?]
This new one, has one 10Gb WAN/LAN port and one 10G LAN port, everything else is 1Gb
So it doesnt make any sense, either you have 1G Internet and connected NAS/Unraid + PC to 10G or you have faster Internet than you take 10G port for WAN and have just one left.
Im in this situation right now with AX89X and got a switch that has 4 2.5 ports and 2 10Gb ports, so my 2.5 internet goes to one 10G port and another 10g port goes to 2.5g port on switch and 2 10g ports on switch, one for my PC and one for unraid
I rather just use single router without any switches
