So is this still a TN panel?
I have previous generation of this one, even thou its a TN, unless you sleep below it the view angles and overall quality of image is very good. With only drawback of TN being a bit greyish blacks.
However waiting for 30+ (ideally 32-34) inch 144hz+ IPS 1440p monitor with G-sync.

Still waiting for that 144hz 4K monitor Asus showed at Computex.

Wonder if they figured out how to get rid of the pixel inversion the last panel had...
buhehe
I wonder if they'll have a QC that doesn't suck this time

Meh, even though it's TN, if that would be the monitor's only fault and it would have a decent price, it might be an option. But being Asus, I doubt it.

I think 27" is just the right size. Any bigger and you'd have to sit too far away

Tn is good no ips glow, atm i wont buy anything its all a mess, i still miss oled full hd or 1440p.

No, not to big. I got a 32 a few month ago and its just enough when it comes to size (height wise) at 2ft distance.. .
Oled is crap when it comes to brightness, and that already low nmbr will drop by about 50% in a few years, so...
And so far, i havent seen an entry level (cost) oled screen, that can keep up with matured screens like amva/amva+
Not sure why ppl are always fixated on certain tech.
Just check when oled was invented, and how long it took to end up in tvs.
As long as the pic is sharp, no ghosting, no motion blur, decent color accuracy, im happy, and dont care what screen tech is used.
Heck, i wouldn't care if it has a nano bot scratching the screen from the inside, if it improves IQ...
The pb32q does exactly that (incl flicker-free) and the only thing "missing" for me is gsync, and unless it dies in a few years, i wont upgrade unless its 34 or larger..

With these specs and HDR prepare to pay more than 1500 euros/dollars. HDR will take time to be relevant for PC. First they have to release HDR monitors with a relevant price then games and graphics cards have to support this. It's not going to happen soon. This is an area consoles won at least for now (if you have a fancy HDR TV already or planning to buy anyways).

Its nice to see new high resolution and high refresh rate products coming out.
People talking about screen distance, weird to hear because for shooter games I usually use my 27" at about 5~6" distance.
For strategy games I'll keep it around 12", and for movies or RPG i'll move it back further.
Pixel density is about right at 1440p on a 27", at around 2ft its comfortable enough to play most games without anti aliasing.
A larger display I think wouldn't look as good at this resolution.
