So glad I picked a Vega 56 for half the price of this thing last month.

I heard that there are 2 types of the 2070 GPUs : TU106-400-A1 TU106-400A-A1. (Binned - supposed to run faster and hold its boost clock for a longer period and cost more) ---------------------------------------- I don't understand where these 2 different types of GPUs go to which board partners? ---------------------------------------- The above ASUS ROG RTX 2070 uses the A reference : https://www.guru3d.com/index.php?ct=articles&action=file&id=45975

Hello Hilbert, would you be so kind and answer few questions regarding Vray peformance? - do you run Vray Benchmark for every tested version of RTX 2070, or are results copied from reference model? - have you been in contact with Chaosgroup to clarify wierd results (2070 faster than 2080)? - based on your knowledge do you think its glitch/bug, wich will be patched in newer versions of Vray Benchmark? Thank you for reply and your great work! Cheers, Josef

From what I did read they are exactly same GPU design manufactured on exactly same wafers. It is just pre-binned by nVidia.

More 70 euros and I bought a 2080 (by chance it was what cost my Duke2080) ... It does not make sense to buy ASUS strix for another 1% on benckmarck and pay 200 euros more.

Sorry Bossman A bit of a problem on page 13, Deus EX 1080P bench is where BF1 is suppose to be. Keep up the excellent work

Board partners can choose and purchase based on what they want. The non A models are a bit cheaper and end up on the more value card, the A models cost a bit more for the AIB, but offers more performance for the tier1 cards.

No, the results are all the same for all cards, and yes the RTX 2070 is faster somehow. I actually might ditch this benchmark as IMHO it is not representable enough, neither is it very stable with Radeon products.

Thanks for info Hilbert. Please dont ditch this benchmark, this is what makes these cards so interesting. After mining craziness, there is starting rendering fewer 🙂 All CGI artsits and architects are moving from supermultithreaded CPUs (like TR) to CUDA GPUs. Plus RT cores are going to speed up rendering times substantionaly. Chaosgroup has preliminary build of their Vray GPU using RT cores and it is insanely fast.

I just hate unexplainable oddities in result sets, I'm not giving up that fast though 😉 Is there any other software in the field with an easy enough to run benchmark your community would like to see added?

Keep up the good work boss! Just a question, are you able to hold on to your RTX cards or able to get them back? I'd be curious to see the trio once games get RTX support, because if the 2080Ti gets some 30fps now, 2070 is unplayable as of now... curious to see how it performs once patches are released.

All reference and MSI cards stay here in my lab yes, so once RTX games are out we'll definitely look into performance.

Good to see Asus not cutting corners and zero dB silent mode is still there. Seems it's just Zotac who is rushing RTX products and shipping without zero RPM support (inhouse name "Freeze Fan Stop") I say either get the cheapest 2070, or go for 2080. Buffed up 2070 makes the least sense

Hmm, "Deus Ex Mankind Divided" benchmark is missing the full hd but has Unigine 2 🙄 @Hilbert Hagedoorn
