I am by for not a monitor guru, but it reads pretty good to me. I hope pricing is right.

Price is 550 Euro right there. Not bad. I like it. Ups. That price tag is for predecessor.

A buddy of mine just ordered the 27" version with Gsync. It's pretty cool, but is a TN, so off angle viewing was poor; that's where the curve comes into play, as it helps focus the whole screen towards the user's eyes (thus minimizing the TN's poor viewing angles).

That's actually a better price point than I guessed. Still more than I'm willing to pay, but, there's also practically nothing at all about this monitor that appeals to me except maybe HDR (I prefer something larger, 4K, and I don't have any interest in Freesync or high refresh rates).

Would love a 4k version of this with g-sync for around £1000

Wish they make a IPS version of this, VA still to slow for me

So that is around $625.00 U.S.. Maybe catch it on sale January 2019. 2019...I'm getting sooo old. 😱

Yep, this one comes close to my dream monitor specs wise. Make it IPS with g-sync (doesn't even have to be 4K) and I'd strongly consider buying one, even though I'm not a fan of ASUS monitors at all.

in reality, even though this is a great monitor (at least the old one is...) the Samsung will mop the floor with it in RL. you cannot underestimate local dimming and higher peak brightness when it comes to HDR. it is the Dynamic Range in HDR...greater difference between light and dark. and when you watch REAL HDR the difference will be as clear as night and day.

HDR with a VA panel... yeaahhhhh... I'm going to go ahead and say I don't believe Anus on that claim.

4K 144Hz, wut?2080Ti SLI to waste even more money? 😀 BTW, that should be around £1500 with G-Sync lol.

Oh I will have my 4K 144hz gaming machine. Even if I have to add more dilithium crystals and a warp core

I'm extremely pleased with this, for ~$400: http://us.aoc.com/en/products/u3277pwqu It uses this screen: http://panelone.net/en/31-5-inch/INNOLUX_M315DJJ-K30_31.5_inch-datasheet

Interesting a gaming monitor that is not a crappy TN panel.
