Now this one looks interesting! If only they managed to make it support adaptive vsync... I hate when it jitters after dropping <60Hz.

Input / Output: 1x mDP, 1x DP 1.2, 4x HDMI 1.4 /MHL 2.0 (combo) (support two PiP and maximum four PbP input sources)
DisplayPort 1.2, which means it doesn't support Adaptive Sync. Adaptive Sync needs DisplayPort 1.2a.

There are plenty of DP 1.2a connections that are listed as 1.2. This is most likely 1.2a. But that's not the only requirement for Adaptive Sync. It also requires a ASIC scalar with VBLANK support.

This is more like it, tad bit too large for my taste though.

The new version of my current screen... does indeed look very interesting ! What im thinking is, will it support freesync? If so, then ill most likely pick one up...

No, since it only has DisplayPort 1.2. It's also missing other internal Hardware due to that choice.

So it's basically my monitor with 4K. . . .nice. If the GTX 880s are as powerful as i hope then this may well be my replacement monitor and I'll just make my PB278Q my secondary monitor.

This one is a no go for me. My next upgrade has got to be able to do 120hz or have g-sync

Do we know that for certain, or is it speculation?

I'm very interested in this monitor, besides getting a new SSD for my computer.

It says DisplayPort 1.2 so, i think that's enough. And seeing Adaptive Sync is a new feature that was recently announced, i'm pretty sure they would have mentioned it in BIG BOLD text 🙂

My thought is, that Asus is in Deep with nvidia, and therefore may have gone quitely about having included 1.2a (which counters nvidia's g-sync), Thus only says 1.2. What you suggest is more likely ofc, but i still hope it does come with 1.2a :P

A little bit low contrast, but 10.7 Billion colors, damn
