Thank you for this review. This card is really amazing, especially considering noise levels. But it makes decision even harder, when someone wants to get top of the line stuff - 7970 or 680. And with so many options on both sides, it's not an easy choice.

Great card! Although i find my girl more sexy. A bit. I must too also thank the hard work done. Seems like people donΒ΄t do this enough. So, a bit off topic topic but...is "Hilbert Hagedoorn" a real name? It sound so strange and silly.

It's Dutch, like the Don himself. Nice card and a great review, really shows what the 7970 is capable of. Destroys the 680 in most DX11 titles. πŸ˜€ Might be me being blind a little, but how much is this thing?

Oy ! Coolest name in the bizz okay ? πŸ˜‰ The MSRP is 499 for the Platinum edition. Not sure if that was incl VAT though.

How is it possible for this thing, at 925, to consistently outperform the Ghz edition? EDIT: Nevermind, I see. You have the original clock listed as 925 in the overclocking section.

great review but a bit hard to tell if it was the matrix or the Asus DirectCU II TOP Radeon HD 7970 1000z that i already have and i must say...being a bit of a ROG fan i would rather see a nice bright Rog,not sure about getting my gddr5 to that speed but still no reason to change, considering the price drop of my dc version think that one will struggle, perhaps if they`d Matrixed 2 gpu`s on there

Really looks like a nice card but still a reset core so i would need to take it off/file it down for a good mount with a pot but thats just being picky. Either this or the 7980 lightning i'm looking at now.

Asus should start making 2 pcie slots mobo for this 3 slot cooler solution cards. Save money for people who don't use the connections with the cooler in the way.
