The London one, i stopped at 1/4 of the game, it's just too much of the same form the previous one in Paris, was boring, even with the couple new gimmick they added. Black Flag was great (that was also my first one), the one in Paris was cool, nice parkour mechanics but i did miss the ships battles. Odyssey started great but i randomly stopped, think i'll pursue it between now and summer. edit: hyped for this one!
AC Unity, i did enjoy that one, one of the nicest looking AC games i have ever played, revolutionary paris has never looked so good.....I was enjoying AC Syndicate but VR gaming got in the way......Black flag i have not touched to date, bought all the DLC and have it on xbox one and steam. lol

It's the best pirate themed game I've played. I mean if you are into that world, you will really, really like it.

I was sad and lost interest when they ****** *******. Despite that I've been trying the games: Origins has an interesting story, but performance on PC is dogshit. Syndicate was awesome though.
A spoiler tag would have been appreciated...

The Desmond thing? It gets handled even worse when some of the existing plot threads are booted out of the game entirely and almost rebooted and then rebooted again with the modern day bits done via tie in books and comics. Also went from a fairly grounded 2012-ish bleak but grounded setting to ... whatever happened that caused it to turn almost completely futuristic instead. Blend into the crowd in this! https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/assassinscreed/images/c/c8/ACUP_Felix_Oladele%27s_head.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20170423050558 (Though the Templars get kinda redesigned too. ~ ) There's a few though, Templars, Uprising and Awakening plus some short books and probably more that I haven't followed development of at all.

Yep, call me a weirdo, but I'm one of those people who played every single AC game since launch (well, except the mobile stuff, as I don't game on a phone) and liked all of them. I know that since Origins/Oddyssey the game has shifted from the "classic" formula, but for me it's an improvement (open world, RPG elements, dialogue options). I love history and the mix with fantasy and science fiction has been on point. Not to mention the huge and beautiful maps with so much attention to detail thanks to the new engine. Aaaand finally as a big vikings era fan, even though we all saw this one coming with all the hints and leaks, I'm super excited for this one too and can't wait to see how they bring this chapter to life!
Yep. Some games have been better than others, but all games have been still good and some of the best games of their release years every time. I liked Origins more than Odyssey. Viking setting is great, and hopefully Asia is next.

I do like these games, good eye candy but often badly optimised. So I always wait until they are fully patched and discounted.

I heard its supervised by Ubi Montreal, same team that did Black Flag and Origins, two of my favorite AC's ever, so i'm keeping my eye on this.

I'm sorry, but this happens in Assassins Creed III from 2012: it's no spoiler. If you played any of the modern games you have no idea of the old story or continuity, as the new games each have their own story. PS: Unity is by far the worse I tried, the 30 fps limit made me uninstall instantly. Was the only game I refused to play (the menus and story looked like crap too). Will try Odyssey, soon.

I have been unable to play a AC game since Black Flag. That game was perfection in my eyes and I refuse to soil my favorable impression of the series by playing another game. But this one has me interested.

Assassins Creed Rogue is a copy of Black Flag with different elements and story, I recommend you trying it. I tried Unity and recommend avoiding it, at the time it was locked at 30 FPS (don't know if that's still the case) and I think there is no big game, just a couple of stories. After Unity I was burnt with Ubisoft and exitant to try Syndicate. All I can say is that you should play it. It's not the old Assassins Creed anymore, but it's an amazing game. Played Origins recently, performance is crap on my Ryzen 2600 and RX580. I was so bored (and disappointed with the ending) I didn't even bothered with the DLC. Will try Odysse...soon. Try Assassins Creed Rogue if you can, its just like Black Flag with a different story. Avoid Unity if you don't want to get sick.
