this issue was already fixed.

@Kaarme might work for defective ram, but not for stability. not a single time did any of the memtest progs show errors (full test set; 8 ryzen rigs ive build since 3xxx came out), yet tools like HCI showed errors within 2-60min (depending on ram settings), e.g. less than 100% test.

Interesting. To be fair, I've never done more than, let's say, extremely modest memory overclocking, so I only assumed Memtest would sort it out. The clocks in my case were accepted immediately and produced no errors in tests or use, so I assumed it was okay. I didn't proceeed to overclock more. With my latest few builds I just clicked the XMP on and decided to stick to it.

yeah, made the mistake of starting with memtests for setup. until i ran into kernel errors in win. suspecting any of the memtests had possibly probs with mb or my ram, decided to look into other tests. same settings produced errors after 20%. just will take longer with slow and/or larger sticks, as you need to work around "used" ram, so 400% is minimum, usually 1200-1500% is enough to be close to 100% stability (as in long term). so far was also the easiest way to dial in voltage for oc, HCI just seems to be more "sensitive" (outside defective sticks). for ram oc i prefer to use dos version (also quicker if u need to change settings between tests), under win is good for (cpu) oc as well. bought the premium one which includes all versions. https://hcidesign.com/memtest/ from my experience thats worse, as voltages are usually boosted too much. main reason why most guides now recommend to do clock/timings/volt manually.
