More competition to the market is always a good thing for the consumer. I take this as positive news. However to be honest I did hope they would create Crypto oriented cards. Oh well.

You are right, they JUST have to start over a new brand to sell AMD cards, with the Nvidia cards still using the brands they have been advertising for years... there is absolutely no way it may have any impact on sales, and then, absolutely no impact on the ability from AMD to create competitive cards.
They can just increase the prices of the Nvidia products a bit to cover the expenses of funding a new marketing campaign for the new AMD brands that Nvidia demanded. For good or ill, Nvidia products are now in such a position that the vast majority of buyers will buy them even if they cost more. Not talking about miners, but miners don't care about brands anyway. What is more interesting is that there should be no mobos with ROG branding anymore as Nvidia doesn't have CPUs. If ROG can only be used with Nvidia products, it can't be used with Intel or AMD socket mobos. In fact that's the only place where I ever paid attention to ROG, despite never putting enough money to get one. But it still made mè somehow glad my current mobo was marketed as having some of the ROG features despite not being one. No more such things at all in the future?
