Thanks for all media friends recently putting attention on our Phantom Gaming graphic card business and giving them massive coverages
:D Is that really part of their statement? It's like they are saying, "Thank you media suckers for free advertising! Our plan worked perfectly." 😛

Isn't a bit curious that ASROCK came all the way up to this stage to find out that AMD wouldn't allow them to sell in EU? Surely they must have communicated with AMD about this beforehand. Unless they had no connection with AMD and all went through Colorful.

I think it's more complicated than this. You have to look at competition, to ensure you have a robust supply chain, build distribution & support network and so on. I doubt their current partners (for motherboards mostly) would start selling graphic cards from Day 1, without any preparations.

Pretty sure that did not happen and that everything was crystal clear to them from the moment they went onboard with AMD. And that all the details incl regions are covered in their contract agreement.

Probably allocation doesnt really allow them to sell everywhere so they decided to prioritize regions. I see nothing wrong.

I really don't think companies of this size leave anything in luck or make abstruct deals at all.

Depends on conditions. If they receive GPUs for cheaper, then it wouldn't be legal.

I agree. They have to, among other things, submit a business plan to Amd to obtain licensing. Somewhere along the way Asrock did something that violated that contract and Amd put a kibosh on their distributing license. At first I believed AMD was upset that Asrock was aiming Phantom Gaming cards at miners. I think this was part of it but come to find out that Asrock is having difficulty coming up with mass numbers to distribute their new Phantom Gaming line. I don't think AMD wants to be part of a product that has scant number of gaming cards available for gamers, and the illusion that there were plenty of them available for miners. But now it seems the story now is that Asrock never intended to sell to most of the markets? And Amd had no role in any banning of their product? So Asrock built a new Product line and isn't selling to too many markets and that was their plan all along? umm ok?
