No one should be made fun of for their hobbies, but, there is a point where that hobby approaches an unhealthy level. If you struggle to afford it, or, if it becomes enough of an obsession that it ruins other aspects of your life, it's not a hobby anymore: it's an addiction. For those who have money to burn and a real life outside their hobby, there's no harm in splurging once in a while. While nobody has the right to tell you how to spend your own money, there is a point where what you spend (whether money or time) on a hobby says something about you as a person; not necessarily something negative, but that usually would be the case. I would argue some people on these forums straddle the line where their hobbies are detrimental in some way. I am not making any implications about those on this thread.

Yo @Neo Cyrus , You're wrong Bro. If a person works hard, makes an honest living and buys a retail product that he or she likes then that's their right to do so. Name calling someone who purchases a 4080 is not cool. We as a community spoke out against Nvidia's practices and they made changes. They're also lowering the price of the 4080 to be compete with AMD. This isn't the first time this industry has seen insane pricing. I've witnessed this with multiple products over the last 35+ years or more. Currently we're dealing with many scalpers. I truly dislike the practice. Deep down I wish people would stop buying products from them but if they don't, who am I to judge? This is indeed a PC community and enthusiast site.
