Samsung CRG has better brightness and is DisplayHDR 1000 certified. So no, its not the same.

I hate to break it to you but this monitor, and its competitors from Monoprice, Viotek, Dell, and Samsung (who makes the actual panel) have been around since at least March of this year! Oddly enough there are a slew of new brands selling this panel Asus, Deco Gear, and Spectre to name a few but not AOC. FWIW I recently bought the AOC and I love it!

Actually CRG is HDR1000. I'm browsing the forum in it now. https://www.samsung.com/uk/monitors/gaming/qled-gaming-monitor-with-dual-qhd-resolution-49-inch-lc49rg90ssuxen/ G9 is the successor with a better curve.
