I'm still skeptical about HMDs without external sensors. I bought a generic HMD and the limitations due to lack of external sensors are immense.

^^Well i have the Oculus rift and about 9 feet X 6 feet of spare room to use it in, so i would say if you are limited in roomscale space then these types of headsets will be perfect, but if you have alot of free room then vr with external sensors for room scale would be the way to go, i personally love the rift, but i am ready now to dump those extra wires trailing around my room for my two sensors, and if i can get one of these cheap then i would grab it.

I don't know, the Acer headset I have tracks very well. For half the price of the Rift/Vive it can't be beat imo

^^Yeap, and believe you me, the Rift is not 100% perfect when it comes to tracking, and even more so with roomscale because if you don't have full room coverage you are going to get tracking issues, and a third sensor will cost me £60 and that is another wire trailing around the room, so cost wise they are looking far more appealing, although let me add i love the rift, once tried you can't put that VR genie back in the bottle, some games now i canon't play back in normal screen mode now, just impossible.
How is that headset for compatibility with steamvr and oculus games, how is the compat with vr games on both these formats, good, mediocre, bad?

So "VR" has a new name......? Mixed reality?? See no cameras on the outside of this bad boy depicting the ability to have a mixed/augmented reality at all.
My money is on augmented reality. That's the future of all of this nonsense as of late.
Couldn't imagine walking down the street with My "visor" on and blasting aliens that are coming out of the street, or the walls of buildings. All things that are really there and mapped in real time allowing surfaces to be texturized and manipulated in real time for a truly encompassing experience....
