Atleast they're honest.
But it shows AMD doesn't care about gamers either.

Ultimately no difference between AMDs and Nvidia end-result actions.

These companies ought to remember gamers made them what they are.

It's easy to say they don't limit workloads when their cards are obviously not that popular to mine with in the beginning... sorry but that doesn't earn any sympathy points with me personally. Not that Nvidia did either, but you know the tune, along the lines of fellow gurus posting above.

Of course, you can't satisfy everyone. When Nvidia did it, everyone was like "hurr durr but that means fewer GPUs for gamers!". When AMD does it, everyone whines "they don't even pretend to care!"
There's no winning with any of you.
Seeing as AMD is worse at making drivers than Nvidia, anything they'd do to artificially cripple performance would just be undone.
Not like any of it matters, seeing as the price point for these GPUs isn't great anyway.

GPU makers to gamers: "Sucks to be you."

why would they? they are releasing mining cards too and even if they did it would be hacked either way gamers looking for card lose cause miner will still be bot buying all the cards up.
20+ years ago if said people could use there GPU to Mine Digital currency, at expense if HUGE AMOUNT of POWER usage we would been laughed at.
The extra stress put on our Power inferstructions alone should be enough goverments to do somthing about but, goverments are using this mining too.

If only AMD and nVidia could jack up their prices and sell cards for these prices but offered cash rebates with a 2 per household limit. The rebate would be the difference between jacked price and original MSRP. If it were legal they could get rich off of miners and maybe save cards for gaming customers.

At least AMD is upfront about it and not trying the same bs pr that Nvidia tried its all business to them which sucks for us gamers.
Just need this heavily modded gtx 1080 to last till this mining dies a bit.

So AMD is not interested in selling medium range video cards anymore.. gotcha..
The only video card I have available to me that is close to the price bracket of $300 is the very low end RX 550..... which is hilarious considering it's 2021.
Next up is the RX 580 which is $599... which I'm going to write again... IS HILARIOUS BECAUSE IT'S 2021..............................................
The next price bracket is where the 6700 XT currently sits which is $800 to $1400..
Medium range video cards have basically been pushed out of the market.... they don't exist.
