Good Good, this means we shall see an Nvidia card within 1-2 months after. Hurry AMD and release your Bait so the Bigger Fish can come along and Gobble you up.

^ Yes come NVidia and release another ''GTX 1970'' with 8GB labeled as 10.. P.S. I hope that they will still give better driver support for R9 200 series first...

I like the idea of 8gb that thinks it is and performers like 10gb new NVIDIA tech ram stretching:)

Better Driver support? I use Nvidia cards while my buddy is running crossfire 290's in his system, all the games we play he has no issues with at all. Examples FC4, BF4, Dying Light, and The Crew are the games we play the most, and he has no issues at all. While myself I prefer NVidia cards, his cards run great. The only thing I hope is that AMD releases these cards at a reasonable price. That would be the best thing to happen, then when NVidia goes to release their better cards they have to keep their pricing in check.

You mean how Nvidia basically abandoned kepler. I sold my 780ti just recently as in the latest games I play like DAI, while the 970/980/290x got huge improvements from driver updates, the keplers are the still performing the same as pre-maxwell launch.

:stewpid:Sorry, but what a ridiculous comment... Like that guy who asked about the cards releasae to AMD staff, i'm in the same situation.

Hopefully the new Radeon 300 series will be much more energy efficient than the 200 series is, I would like to see them at least as efficient as NVidia's GTX 900 series.

But to be fair, Nvidia has optimized the drivers for Kepler for two years. Hopefully Nvidia will still be able to get more performance out of Kepler, but it's usually during the first years we see the bigger improvements Nvidia also supports its older GPU series for quite long. Both the DX9 and DX10 GPUs had eight years support (and DX10 will be in legacy for one more year)

Yeah, will wait for the customs though, don't fancy a hybrid :P

I just hope these R9 3XX cards are so badass it forces Nvidia to release the full GM200 first and at a competitive price not another cut down GPU at $1K. Last thing I want to hear from Nvidia is, "We expected more from AMD."

Nvidia...More powerful...more expensive. AMD...Less powerful...cheaper to purchase. Always been the same. I think if AMD can get the price right and the cooling is good enough they could have a winner. I do think AMD shoulda gone 20nm for serious consideration tbh, who knows they may still do, i think theres a good chance.

I quite liked the look of that 295 I had for a while, the rad and pipes made it look badass πŸ˜€

It should leave 980 in the dust. With the latest fiasco and new badass card from AMD will leave nVidia shaking. This is looking to be another HD 5000 vs Fermi. πŸ˜€ Nice, nice i might get one.

R9-380x will have 10% higher real performance/Watt than GTX 970. People will still b!tch, because they think GTX 970 is 160W card. Price will be another thing, I expect initial performance/price ratio around GTX 980 and that will make many weep. But if AMD manages to put even price in check, then I will laugh so hard. There are people who got echo in advance: http://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/amd/interactive-chart?timeframe=5d

You can't magically add Maxwell hardware enhancements to the Kepler architecture. It's almost like complaining drivers are not improving the performance of 8800 series GPUs on DX11.

depend where you are... in here it is more: Nvidia...More powerful...same price. AMD...Less powerful...same price. maybe that's why i cannot sold my HD7850 few after it release lol.

In my country we don't get the price reductions from AMD so the R9 290x cost the same as GTX 980. With prices like this is very hard to consider AMD. This is the price range of the cards in my country converted to USD GTX 970: 550-590 USD GTX 980: 880-990 USD R9 280x: 400-440 USD R9 290x: 840-990 USD

In which country you live, precious? The prices are monstruous high!
