I genuinely hope it's going to be good. I wouldn't mind going all AMD for the first time... well, ever. Never had an all-AMD setup, and haven't had an ATI/AMD GPU since the 9700 Pro.

I think midrangers are only coming next year, but there will be definetaly something which cuts under the $500 of 3070 - with more RAM

AMD is only announcing 6800/XT and 6900XT today. Guarantee none of those are gonna be under US$500.

I could see the 6600 or 6700 being round that performance level and $250-300.

I really hope that AMD will win this generation, they need it and so do we as consumers. Look how AMD has "forced" nVidia and Intel to lower the prices this generation.

Hoping the 6800XT will be a nice upgrade for me. It it meets or beats the RTX 3070, its an upgrade for my 5700xt. I game at 3440x1440 100hz.
Problem is, I also wanna upgrade my 2700x to a 5600x or better. New board, ram and cpu. But gpu would be cheaper ironically.

Im in the same boat. Gpu first then cpu/ram. 2700x is holding up pretty well i think at 1440p. I dont want a 6core but an 8core 5800x and pricing is just awful for that part so im gonna wait.

honestly though, this is AMD's time. The stars have literally aligned perfectly for them, its up to them to now make their mark and bring back the competition!
What I would also like to see more than anything is HONESTY. Sure you are going to hype the crap out of your product, but if you only have a few thousand to sell then just tell us. I want a stock inventory/allocation graph along with all the performance graphs. This alone could go a long way to improve the company image.

Very interested in how the new cards will perform. I have a GTX1080Ti so no immediate need of a new card, but considering an AMD card which performance-wise is in the RTX3080/3090 area.
I think AMD needs to have something to beat the RTX3080 to be 'in the game'. It's been some time I had an AMD card and I genuinely want to spend my money on them. 🙂

AMD has an opportunity here.
Nvidia did some mistakes with the Series 30, like a very disappointing launch and quite slow and low quantity VRAM on the mainstream 3070 (8 Gb @ 14 Gbps are quite underwhelming in 2020).
There is space for a good competitor in the 3080/3070 market
