Not possible, they won't be available, those with V-Cache, until late 2021 or early 2022. It cannot be on Chagall.

i've used HEDT since (Intel) X79, migrated to X99, X299 and then TR gen1. the difference was night and day so i went to TR 2. the market for HEDT has moved hard for enterprise applications and the TR5000 is so far beyond my needs i don't feel to need to buy one because i can. i've been tickled pink by the 5950x and the difference in price went into my loop and gpu. i didn't feel half as cheated as i was when i bought my rx6800xt because the difference in mobo and cpu price between Ryzen and TR was so big. but if i was running a company or needed to bang out massive data i would build around the 5000 series simply because it's the BEAST err, best

If only I could win the lottery one day. I'll buy some gen 5 TR computers to some special gurus here. And one for me, or course.

With these crazy MSRP + scalper tax on Ryzen 5xxx, I mean why not go TR!? I only need 8 cores from my old 4 core for home use but if the prices are up there, might as well go all out!

I somehow got stupid lucky last year. Got a 1920x, x399 Taichi, 32GB DDR3200, for $500. Has become my new server, nvidia game stream rig, and video encoder. And the fact i still can upgrade it too at least 2990x, its got more then 10 years of life on its IMHO.

Naw AMD needs to keep pushing. When Intel gets on 7nm they will be going at AMD hard asf.
too true and by then Intel will be sharing 3nm (for servers). AMD needs to keep 'em coming.
