IF this is true, then 3600X seems like the the clear winner to me. 4.8GHz boost on 8C/16T with 95W TDP is just insane for "middle of the stack" CPU. But yeah, let's wait and see if it comes true.

Adored was once again Spot On in his videos.

Would my B350M motherboard be at any disadvantage if i chose to put a 3800X chip in it ? I know its the last supported chip on the AM4 platform . I'd like to max it out and then retire.

The 6 core part speeds make me a little sad. I've no need to go any higher than 6 cores as I only game on my PC but I need to replace my 1600x because I lost the silicon lottery hardcore with it and the 2600X isn't quite a good enough reason yet. I hope it's not going to be that slow.

If they've managed to increase game performace by at least 10-15% this could really shake the market

If the pricing holds true I might even pay to get a binned version of the 3600x that is if there really is some decent OC headroom unlike the prior Ryzen's.
Possibly, yes. As you say, pricing is key here.

i literally can't comment on pricing, models, or availability until the 11th.
what i can say is if it wasn't Russia, the partner would be in sheep dip ๐ฑ and all orders would be slow-walked if fulfilled at all.
that being said, the KGB and the GRU haven't been the only Russians to buy information or hack into secure data.

Me either! It's been a long while since I looked forward to CES this much.
Also hoping to hear more on MiniLED monitors from CES: D3M1G0D
As I said in the other thread, I won't believe it until I see it.
It would be an amazing accomplishment though, if true. I'm curious to see what Intel would do to counter this. If the 3800X is priced at around $500 then it would make the 9960X look downright silly. It's not just their troubles with 10nm - they need an entirely new approach to building CPUs (no more monolithic).

I dont believe this leak is true, I hope it is, but the Ryzen 3 looks too powerful with a 6 core as the lowest model.
I really hope they come with a 25W 4 core mediacenter CPU with Vega, some time down the line.
Personally i would jump on a 3600 to replace my 1700, if the price is right and the compatibility is there.

If that Ryzen 5 3600X can OC a bit to 5ghz and it's around ยฃ200 then AMD will have a true winner on it's hands. I have no doubt about that but of course only if this is real numbers.

I'm definitely skeptical these, especially if they're all socket AM4. I know AMD is trying to kick Intel while they're down but I imagine such drastic changes would cannibalize a lot of their own products, and cause major BIOS issues for any boards out-of-date.
Y'know you can overclock these new ones, right? Even if your 1600X didn't OC well, that doesn't mean these new ones won't.

This leak is a bit suspect - it has the stink of WCCF-type clickbait. That being said, I do hope it's true.
I am very curious to see what happens with Zen 2 on the X399 side of things. I won't link it directly, but on OCN there was someone doing working on the MSI x399 MEG bios who found references to additional processors added in the November bios update. In short, I am expecting Zen2 based TR4 coming to the MEG motherboard, potentially to other existing X399 boards assuming there isn't some voltage / VRM limitation
