Amd is aiming at taking some market share from intel while making some profit. Just like ps4 at first they will loose some money but as they sell more and more they will start making a profit while hitting intel where it hurts. IF they dont price agressively they are in great trouble. Many people have went intel route for pc gaming as they offer best performance and amd knows this. They are aiming to take back the customers they lost when phenom-till current cpu's dont compete well with intel. I believe their will be a price war between these two great companies. I can't wait to see how this all fairs out in the next year for amd. I am hoping they will push intel into corner where they have to produce some new cpu's (not just refreshes like the last couple years) or risk following amd's footsteps.

I have the fx 8350 and i'm very satisfied with it. Maybe you have core parking active? you have to disable it if it is enabled, to get max performance. Or why you say is not so good?

There is obvious draw backs to using (as of now) AMD processors when paired with a high end GPU. A multitude of videos on YouTube showing the compared performance of AMD vs Intel when paired with one or more high end gpu's. It is actually pretty horrendous if you must know. I've been trying to hold off for quite some time on building a new computer. I'm talking that I've literally had the cart full online and "something" happens during checkout that does not allow the order to go through. Took it as an omen and decided to hold off. Especially after seeing how bad the performance to watts were with current AMD setups. I am hoping for big, wonderful amazing things with AMD this go'round.

Same here. I'll always have more than one gpu in my system and performance from AMD as of late regarding said setup is particularly horrendous. I've been scratching this itch of wanting to build another system for over a year now and it is getting progressively harder and harder each day. Just hope this isn't a "paper launch" like we've seen in the past.

Or maybe we wait a bit and see AMD's actual pricing and marketing strategy, instead of saying that they do the same or different things with anybody else.

We are getting closer , there are a lot of Ryzen CPUs already on the wild and been tested on Liquid Nitrogen by the top extreme overclockers as we speak ( My sources told me so ) , expect more leaks on the following days.
