It's nVidia partnership. Test was done with Amd 2700x cpu. Vega did not work 😛

I would not say Strong. RX 580 is just enough for 1080p. GTX 1060 can go home as it is not ready for competing in that race. Now, one could say there are no optimizations, yet. But it is freaking same engine, so they should have stuff tuned quite a bit.

I wouldn't count on any performance numbers to stay the same once the final game's released.

So only those with Gsync are gonna enjoy this game before 2019 gpus. All the others stutterlike gaming.

... or 1080p screens. Or lowering details. Or Freesync 😉 Like I said, don't count on those numbers fellow gurus. My performance with BF1 beta was also better than release day performance with gameready drivers with 980SLI.

I guess Nvidia will fix the performance for AMD once the final game is released with Gameworks.

:D The truth unveiled.

It's probably due to the fact that the game is being built for the consoles first.

Yeah, if it isn't Titan V, then it isn't strong nor worth mentioning even, lol. And games built on the same engine perform the same across games, right, lol.

My thoughts too - it's Frostbite engine so it will perform better on AMD cards anyway but given NVidia is a partner this time around for BFV, it's only a matter of time for blackbox gameworks to be injected into the game...

I ran the Alpha with my specs (3570k@4.5/GTX 970@1455), I use old dell 1600x1200 display and the default graphic settings were set too high. I was getting "around" low's of 60 to highs of 75 or so, avg about mid 60's. I changed that to a mix of mid-high, anyway it runs about 10% lower than BF1 and there is a lot of damage and destruction compared to BF1. Who knows what the cause of the article, it could be something as simple as maybe a bug and both AMD and Nvidia are not rendering same images, but it's probably just lack of optimation as many things are not working right yet.

Could be. Besides, whoever expects this to be the real comparison when the game comes out, i have bad news. Radeon's performance will stay around the same, but GTX's will probably double, kinda, theirs. Granted this is true and not some kind of fanboy bs.

Playing FPS games with 30fps is so 1995. Really enjoyable experience.

This will get patched by a new nvidia driver when the game is actually ready to release. Most likely the current nvidia drivers aren't properly optimized with the right compatibility bits set for this game. Not sure why you guys are surprised when this has happened with nearly half of all AAA releases over the last 10 years. Sometimes with nvidia, sometimes AMD, sometimes both.

Which is why my G-Sync 1440p monitor is the best hardware money I've ever spent. Albeit, the g-sync cost vs free-sync really chaps my ass, but all of those examples are playable with either Gee/Free with minimal input lag and no tearing. It gives older cards fresh legs. If you are playing BF1 online, ultra settings are not a wise choice anyway, and the argument still holds true, since most of these monitors use high refresh rates.

Or simply put, 1060 just sucks.

Last time i checked the RX 580, was just plain stronger than the GTX 1060 right? so shouldn't be shocking that it is losing. Specially when least here in the UK you can get a GTX 1060 for around 40-70 pounds cheaper than the RX 580, depending on what Gb model you want

...and consumes 80-90w more on stock compare to 1060 😛 But who cares, my old setup with 2x 780ti classified on water + 3930k @5.2ghz consumed 1700w from the wall 😀 Used 2x 1200w psu's
