Looks good to me, now it'd boil down to price/performance vis-a-vis RTX3080....

@Hilbert Hagedoorn Looks good so far still a month away though. Now can we please have the RTX 3080 review, to calm my thirst for numbers, please ?! 😀

It looks much better than older AMD reference designs in my opinion, I hope it comes with 16GB and performance level between RTX 3070 and RTX 3080.

Looks nice but I just want to see the game and RTRT performance numbers already!

I guess it comes down to taste - personally I kinda like this sort of solid looking, almost industrial design.

Ow sexy, hello from gtx 970 HoF

if that is all vapour chamber and all heat sink that will be one efficient cooler. All the waiting kind of sucks.

They are far more traditional than Nvidia's new push-pull setup, so leaking these is nothing much in that sense. In fact I think these new AMD designs are flawed because they don't seem to exhaust any hot air whatsoever straight out of the PC case, through a grate in the display connector plate. In my opinion the heat sink fins nearest to that end of the card should be oriented such that the hot air could be vented out. I see no reason why they wouldn't it. These AMD designs are instead blocking that option.

Price also between the two would be nice. 😉

Even the rtx 3070 will not do 4k@60fps at maximum settings at rdr2 and hzd. Like weak 2080ti couldn't. So I do not want a gpu between 3070 and 3080.

If it is not better than the blower cooler designs of the past i would be impressed by the incompetence! Since the longer air travels through a finstack the hotter it gets ... So as air travels it becomes more innefective to cool , when you have 2 or 3 sources of "fresh" air comming in and on top of that that fresh air has less distance to cover in the finstack.... Would take some impressive engineering fit to make it worse than a blower! (Assuming they do not cheap out always)

If the turbofan in the blower design pumps thrice the air, it still works the same. Just like the server rack components basically can only have passive heat sinks, but then one end of the rack has an array of crazy high rpm fans that blow a shit-ton of air through it all. Silence of operation hasn't traditionally been the forte of blower style video cards, for a reason.

The design of the new cooler is very flattering for Nvidia's 2000 FEs. Credit where credit is do.

From a pure aesthetic POV, I really like it. Of course, I'm far more interested in what it has under that shiny hood.

Will be interesting to see the final performance. If rumors are to be believed, rdna2 should be 50% better perf/watt, meaning a 225W "5700 xt-like" card could be eqvivalent or better than 2080 ti. If this new design is a around 300W part card, it could be close to, or even better than, the 3080.

Looks better than the previous coolers yet this still won't be quiet, needs bigger fans. Rumors suggest +60% efficiency over RDNA1, better than the aimed 50%

In comparation with the old design this is very better. I am nervous to se what AMD is doing with the 6900... mainly after all Nvidia show at the launch of 3XXX series... I have a feeling that they will make a strong card to beat 3080...

well yeah you can not go high rpm with out adding noise no matter how good the fans are :P
