Those are some good price drops. But one could argue, a bit too late.

I bet they want to sell 6000 series along with 7000 series.

Time to get your beloved 6700XT for future games there 😀

I really wanted to buy the 6800XT back then but I need RT performance for next build. Kinda ironic there are barely any RT games worth playing... I need an open world RPG with 1000 of hours with RTRT to justify the ransom for new RTRT GPUs...

Still more than I'm willing to pay...

These price reductions won't materialise here in Finland. The stores are keeping their stocks at minimum here already, both AMD and Nvidia, and the prices haven't much changed since the largest correction after the mining craze ended. Because the shops apparently don't expect to sell anything much anymore, they won't bother to adjust prices either. They are just waiting for the next gen. Although what I said doesn't necessarily apply to the flagships as I haven't paid any attention to their prices or availability, having no interest in buying them.

Just checked and it's pretty much the same thing here... especially on the nvidia cards.

Much like how Americans do medical tourism (getting healthcare in another country and having a vacation there because it's cheaper), seems like Europeans might want to travel to certain US states (DE, MT, NH, or OR) for "shopping tourism". Living in one of those 4, it's relatively common to see cars from New York, Quebec, and even Ontario in the parking lots of many stores, because the cost savings of 0% taxes makes up for the cost of fuel or even lodging. Considering Finland has a 24% domestic sales tax and maybe an additional 15% or whatever it is for VAT, I'm sure the money you'd save when splurging on a gaming PC would cover food and lodging, or possibly even plane tickets, especially if they're still charging extra from the mining craze.

Last time I flew back to the UK, I left with £4000 of hardware in my luggage including a £1100 32" 4k MSI monitor ha ha ha ha. Il being going back to the UK at Xmas. Best thing about flying business is the 2 x 32kg baggage allowance 😀

VAT is actually what replaced the sales tax in the 90's. So, there's the 24% VAT. There might also be some import costs, customs, but I'm not sure about that. Not exactly my area of expertise. 24%+15% would be too brutal even for Finland!

The 6900xt seems like a decent deal, and yes, i know that considering $700 for a GPU a good deal is almost criminal, but that`s the way things are now. But the rest of the line up has some really weird prices, like the 6800xt, "only" $100 cheaper than the 6900xt. Or the 6700 series at 419 and 379 dollars, they sould be even cheaper. Now, if only i could get the 6900xt on a sale for 500€...

I doubt there are enough left to last what with the 6950xt. They might sell out before 7900xt is out in numbers

Interesting for them to be dropping prices just after Ethereum stopped working on video cards..... it's almost as if they want their original customers back.

Probably. But for AMD to lower the price on 6900xt is because they still have some of them in stock, i think.

That and it`s an way to spoil Nvidia`s 4000 series release "party".

AMD is also getting ready to launch a new generation of graphics cards....so it makes sense to lower prices of the older cards.

Depends what you're after. A 6800 would do me nicely, preferably at £400 or less, new...

Even with lower prices, RX6600 would cost around 300€ after tax here and that's still too much for a low end GPU. RX6600 has the same die area of a RX580 that I bought for +/-170€ back in 2019, but uses less power and that alone should make it cheaper to build (less components).
