Even with lower prices, RX6600 would cost around 300€ after tax here and that's still too much for a low end GPU. RX6600 has the same die area of a RX580 that I bought for +/-170€ back in 2019, but uses less power and that alone should make it cheaper to build (less components).

True. It`s strange, but nowadays the high end cards seem a better deal than the lower end in terms of performance/price...

Good news ! I'm already noticing slight drops even in the terrible Euro market, but I think they need to go down further here to be considered. For example a 6700 XT is no longer €600 here where I live, but around 500-520, but still needs to go down ~50 more to match new MSRP. I'll continue waiting until they announce the new gen...
