Oh they promised to put it on AMD hardware? Wasn't aware of that.
Not to AMD's HW, but to DirectCompute. That would mean proper utilization of any DirectCompute capable HW. When I look at intel's CPUs and what kind of GPU they integrate, they give those strongest only to expensive chips and they mostly end-up disabled as dGPU is used. So, instead of dreams about intel's iGPU working together with magnitude stronger AMD/nV GPU, we would have proper separate workload on those iGPUs. (And same goes for APUs.) But nVidia puts that into same grave full of rotting corpses where natively multithreaded physX on CPU is. Their statement was like: "by default, it will be multithreaded, but developer may disable physX CPU multithreading if they want..." Intel releasing 10/12 core goodness but will there be use for it? 8 cores in next year, probably yes. (Thanks to DX12/Vulkan.)
