Did anyone else notice how they don't include consumer graphics in the revenue outlook for 2019? Only CPUs and Radeon Datacenter.

Probably because in reality, it's irrelevant. You read it yourself, they talked about mining, but not about gaming, because the revenue off miners was way, way bigger than even the best gaming year AMD can ever have. Not even when they had 40% market share, they earned as much off consumer graphics chips than last year with the mining craze (I don't have the numbers, if anybody has them, feel free to educate me).

"For the first quarter of 2019, AMD expects revenue to be approximately $1.25 billion, plus or minus $50 million, a decrease of approximately 12 percent sequentially and 24 percent year-over-year. The sequential decrease is expected to be primarily driven by continued softness in the graphics channel and seasonality across the business. The year-over-year decrease is expected to be primarily driven by lower graphics sales due to excess channel inventory, the absence of blockchain-related GPU revenue and lower memory sales. In addition, semi-custom revenue is expected to be lower year-over-year while Ryzen, EPYC and Radeon datacenter GPU product sales are expected to increase. " = = = = I think it is right there. "Here you have apples and oranges totaling 2kg. From that you have 0.6kg of oranges." From text you can expect: - AMD does not expect high revenue From Radeon 7 - There are plenty of RX-5X0 cards (Similar to GTX situation.) - No Navi launch on horizon as that would kill sales of RX-5X0 inventory => loss Both AMD and nVidia will have to live with aftermath of mining. All those mining cards are going to end somewhere. And I do not think it will be junkyard.

Lisa confirmed that Navi will launch later this year, just now word about it for now to help the old stock to sell. I was listening to the conference call.
As we entered 2019, we are preparing to launch our strongest product portfolio ever. In gaming, we will launch our high end Radeon 7 GPU in February, followed by our next generation Navi GPUs later in the year. In client computing, we started the year with our second generation Ryzen mobile processors and we’re on track to launch our third generation Ryzen desktop processors in the middle of the year. And in the server market, we expect to deliver a significant step function performance increase with the launch of our next generation Rome processors in the middle of the year. I am very proud of what we accomplished in 2018 and even more excited about how our long-term investments are set to pay off in 2019.

I thought Navi this year was just mobile or did I read something untrue?

Pretty sure we will get mainstream Navi based cards mid year and early next year we will get higher performance Navi based cards. That is what everything I have read and heard points to.

IIRC, Lisa Su spoke about Navi's release being expected this year in same event they did show that low Wattage 8C/16T matching i9-9900k in CB.

Much rather see AMD publish conservative guidance--so Su won't have to come back and reduce the outlook by $500M...;)
