weird, but thanks for explaining anyway. I thought I was buying a zen4. still, it looks like I didn't get as unlucky as those who got zen2 sold as 7000 series. zen3+ with 8 cores still works great for me as a daily driver (desktop is for gaming only, I work and do everything else on my lappy, so efficiency and reliability is #1 thing) never had a single technical problem with it, and that's what matters.

In no way I'm trying to be a smartass, but how people get bogus CPUs? Or, don't even know what they get? For the first people, they need help or go to a legit store and purchase a legit CPU they want. For the latter, just do a basic research before you buy. I'm on 5600X, first time in my life went AMD and the Curve Optimizer, I fell in love with that characteristic. My clocks from 1.375V, never go above 1.212V anymore for the exact same clocks. Can't wait for the next Zen series. I obviously skipped the 7000 series. And unless you want the extra lanes of the X570, get one. Otherwise, B550 all the way. Don't overspend for anything in case you don't use a feature you really need. Current line, the B650 are extremely good. DDR5 support and at least 2 Gen 4 x4 NVME SSDs. The next line will have even better features as standard and who knows, perhaps USB 4 along with at least one Gen 5 x4 SSD.

tha naming is dubious at best ...that said the price / performance is still great on those , in general +- 5% differences the 5600u = 5625u = 7530 ((it depends a lot on the laptop cooling performance and how they are implemented by the oem how strictly or loose they follow the stock specifications etc but all things equal the main difference between those 3 is just few hundred mhz ))
