Tribes crossfire performance improvements?!!! YEEAAAAAAA!!!
I was hoping they'd fit in some Star Wars The Old Republic crossfire tweaks for the new shadow rendering that BioWare introduced in patch 1.4. I reported it as soon as I noticed the glitches on the public test server. Flickering shadows and maps. Basically 1.4 undid all of the work AMD has done so far to get SWTOR running properly in CFX. But I guess that's the name of the game with MMORPGs since they're always evolving and adopting better tech.
I mean look at all the World of Warcraft fixes they had to do for Hello Panda Island Adventure update!

After installing 12.9 and the application profile I still get flickering in SW:ToR on the map and enemy portrait in Crossfire. Cinematics don't work. Everything is blurry as hell and Windows Explorer keeps restarting when the game runs. The game's performance is also quite terrible. I now have to disable Crossfire and significantly reduce the graphics settings in order to get a playable game.
Oddly, in the profile release notes it says it includes the older update that's supposed to eliminate this flickering and performance issue.

World of Tanks profile. Will this ever be made?
spyre
Why would it? the World of Tanks game doesn't support SLI or Crossfire very well as you can see from their forums.
Darksiders 1 & 2 negatively scales in Crossfire and SLI so expecting support for those titles is dumb.
I don't have Torchlight 2 to test.
I was the one who got Tribes Ascend support added and F1 2012 amongst other games and I also found a profile which works decently for WoW MOP which should be included in the next CAP.

So umm, I play WoW still :P
Any reason why I would still get shadow flickering when set to "high" with this cap installed, when it is supposed to specifically fix that issue?
Is there some chance my drivers are not utilizing the cap profiles?

WoW has been bleeding players since pre-Cataclysm, their numbers are still declining despite new content, part of the problem is that its all about end game, you have to rush to max level then spend months grinding to get decent gear, once you do that, a new expansion/patch comes out and you have to do it again, with each expantion they make leveling easier, so low level content is pointless, they could just start you off at max level with crap gear and let you farm instances for all the play low level content gets...
they have a huge world, but most players see less then 10% of it.
WoW has alot of serious issues that endup driving people away.
the community....and im being kind.....sucks, and blizzard foster the way they act.
blizzard have a game designed so that 1/2 the player base is always hating/fighting with the other 1/2, going to great lengths to foster this bs, its not healthy and its part of what drove alot of people I know out of the game.
their latest expantion is PANDAS+Pokemon.....Pandokemon as the joke goes.....
I know no less then 15 people who quit WoW after reading up on or trying the panda's beta.......the funny part is that most of them picked up GW2 and cant stop talking about how different it feels actually being happy to see other players in an area.
WoW: you see other non-party players and start cursing(or grummbling) because if they tag a mob, you cant get credit for killing it, in gw2, anybody whos helped kill something gets a reward/credit.....it fosters teamwork and community rather then the mentality that WoW and most other mmo's have.
Just thought I should point out part of why WoW has been bleeding players and why its not as popular as it ever was.....
at its peek WoW had around 800k concurrent players(people online at any given time), GW2 had over 400k concurrent users during pre-release headstart days......
gw2 has its flaws, but, at least its not designed to foster hate and contempt of other players......and they dont let the community make a bunch of arses of themselves.
actually this is false, PF Prophet

With all the AMD lay offs recently they probably reduced the driver dev crew, or refocused on another area, I'd say that's why we haven't seen new profs in quite some time.
Or maybe new cards coming out shortly...
