I kind of feel duped lol. He said there would be actual info on Vega and they just released the name.....

Bored presentation... I expected to learn something about VEGA GPU performance. That marketing blabla just wasting time for me.

that was uhm.. meh :P

disappointed really wanted hardware info ....

Ok, who else expected a little more then this ? 🙂
I definitely did. Maybe there are some issues still to be ironed out with Vega. Most of what they have shown it doing is not really a perceived improvement over Fiji. The performance in BF1 and DOOM that I've seen is not impressive and always accompanied with a disclaimer about using debugging drivers or just a Fiji driver. Well at least we have 10:00PM EST tonight for 1080Ti and Ryzen the end of the week. Wouldn't want to blow our collective load too early.

They gave out stuff they do not want to use in actual Vega announcement.

That was so so so bad. The only silver linings which might be great in the future is that they are actively contributing to the Unreal engine, and that they have a deep technical partnership with Bethesda. No real Vega info, useless streaming services and VR cr*ap. ...
Don't forget two me-too. Cloud gaming and muti-res shading, and one Deja-Vu -> Forward renderer. Which is not bad by itself, but it looked so bland and everyone was acted like another day in the office. Of course, except... Roy jumping around just for the sake of jumping. I woudn't be nearly as pissed if they hadn't invited the Roy person. That guy is so fake it's uncomfortable to watch. Raja should let him sink along with VR. I can tell them right now where VR is going to be two years from now:At the same place its now.

Poor timing of the event. Should have moved it till after the Ryzen launch. Then they could have showcased better shiny stuff to capture our attention. They are not going to take away from the impending release just two days away. Vega would just get lost in all the madness. Sensory overload...too much information too quickly. They have bet the whole company on Ryzen and now need to recoup some much needed cash to launch Vega in the same way.

Zen has taken all the Oxygen out of AMD's lungs, which is only right. Which does not mean by any stretch that Vega will be bad. I am quite certain Vega will fit quite nicely and not too costly, inside my Fractal Design

What a waste of time... Worst than last December's Zen presentation.

Maybe their relationship with Bethesda means they're co-designing a brand new engine for TES:VI? at least one can dream....

I didn't. Considering how large let down the last similar event was.

If they hadn't teased Vega so hard, the event had some really good news, as AMD is addressing their final two "weaknesses" in the developer level, meaning the Unreal engine and Bethesda titles.

AMD had some guest devs extolling Forward Rendering and I thought a ~30% performance boost with this one feature was quite impressive, but I actually wanted to see if AMD could produce a *tangible* reason to deter me from getting two GTX 1080 TIs. No tangible reason was announced. Not a single glint of a shiny new tangible reason.
