If AMD could produce them alongside with the rest of the line back in 2021, they would have won even more... but never say never.
Exactly. Amd didnt release these a year ago becouse why when you can buy an overpriced 5600x/5800x. More money to them.

What a bunch of CRAP over here. The 5600X is now 220 USD, and the 5800X is 360 USD or approximately 10-20% more than the 5600 and 5700X. Last week it was literally at 299 and 449 USD!! MF.... still want to milk us for that 10-20% but the 12400F is 189 USD right now and with a good DDR4 board OC'ed will match it. Man I hate our AMD distributor!

Anyone on the 3700X feels that 5700X was released a year too late? Seriously, what's the deal with AMD now?

I think the REAL upgrade is going to be the 5800X3D model, not the 5700X since ADL is competitive but at higher power usage.

Will see. For the moment the 3700X is still plenty. But IF I can sell it and for a decent difference I could upgrade to something better, why not?

I also have a 3700X and there is no reason for me to upgrade. Mostly because I'm GPU bound in most modern games. Maybe by the end of the year, if GPU prices are normal, and I upgrade to something more powerful, then a 5800X3d might be worth it.

Didnt notice my 2700x is bottlenecking this 2080super at 3440x1440 im always gpu bound. Something like zen4 7700x with ddr5 is what im waiting for.

At that resolution, even with a 2080S, you'll be gpu bound in most games.

Yeah these are a crazy times indeed. Having an nvidia card after a decade feels weird. :P

They're based on Cezanne, which is a monolithic die. I don't understand why that makes them gen 3 but it seems to be just part of the architecture. I get the impression Cezannes were originally meant to be mobile chips, so perhaps these are higher-binned models that can handle higher clock speeds.
They may have been originally meant to be mobile chips, but there are Cezanne desktop APUs.... 5xx0G/GE are all Cezanne based.... 5600G and 5700G included....

I don't quite understand the logic behind dropping many of the models to PCIe 3. Were the chips found faulty in some peculiar way, which prevented them from working in PCIe 4, but they could still handle Gen 3?
The models with PCIe 3 are either Cezanne or Renoir based, with a disabled iGP or Pinnacle Ridge based....
