AMD has only itself and its bosses to blame for its failings. Nuff said. "Oh hey lets not put our chips in Android devices - that sounds like a great idea..." Riiiiiiight.

Intellectual property theft, theft of trade secrets, This is serious stuff.

High-ranking employees no less, one hundred thousand documents no less. Such a shame.

as long as nothing is disclosed, he doesnt break any agreements. if amd doesnt want its employees to have access to its files, they should restrict said access

I wonder if they took the 'How To Ruin Your Company Through Bad Choices' trade secret with them.

wat. It's the former Vice President. If you can't trust the Vice President to have access to these documents, the only person left is the CEO...And a company where only the CEO can look at all the secret stuff is a company where no one is getting anything done.

At least Nvidia would do something with those secrets instead of sitting on them :P

Have you read their employment contracts then? I assume you also know the letter of the law in order to make such a statement.

He's the vice president of STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT, not the company lol. This guy is an example of one of the reasons why AMD has been failing - I feel like they have as much upper management as Intel with a fraction of the workforce and assets. Who needs a VICE president for "strategic development"? Or even a president for that matter? A manager is good enough. But, considering he's a VP, that must mean he has managers to "strategically develop" as well. Anyways, what I don't get is the motivation. Unless Nvidia was going to pay a lot more, what do these 3 people gain? AMD's GPU market isn't failing. It isn't ahead but it wouldn't take much effort to get ahead. Maybe if that 1 guy did a better job at strategizing how to improve his company rather than backstab them, he wouldn't have a reason to quit.

Maybe we will see a new rebranded driver from NVidia later called Catalystware? Im down lol!

I really don't see how anything quoted really changes anything about what I said, lol. If you can't trust a vice president, then you really can't trust anyone, if you're going to take the line of "well don't just let anyone see your secrets"

Well I just wanted to let you know that he's not really a big shot, just an over-glorified title. If he were VP of the GPU division at AMD, then he would be someone important. Besides, the many of the most successful company board members in the world are psychopaths (by definition, I'm not trying to insult them). What makes those people so successful is their ability to manipulate others and make horrible decisions to save the company and themselves. That isn't a person I'd like to trust, no matter how successful the business is doing.

AMD is so ****ed, the best way is invest some money to economic hitmans, let them cleanup the **** a bit.

kinda sad story of such a great company

This is just a publicity stunt, if it was real the they will already be doing something about it in a court.

Why would Nvidia want anything to do with AMD drivers...

It said that they are doing something about it in court... :3eyes: This is just another item in the recent litany of bad/sad news for AMD's management team. They seem inept enough that we should probably expect them to run for public office soon. :infinity:
