if it requires a chiller, it doesn't count. 😀

Ok fine but what you gonna do about zen4 7950x Intel?

People said the same about Rocketlake. One of the most cool high end cpu there is for gaming. Way more easy to cool than 9900k and 10900k due to the bigger die 🙂 Is temperature a problem for todays cpu's? No, as long as it dosn't throttle the cpu. Zen 3 is hot in therm of temperature, but the cpu doesn't care about 80 c.

Rocket lake doesn't hit 200+w under standard operation, only AVX 512.

What is standard operation? Gaming? Cinebench gaming? My soon 4 years old 7980xe uses alot of power, but there is no problem cooling it due to the big die. Under gaming, it's pretty cold. People here tend to "make" problems that isn't there. One thing is for certain; Noobs allways has problems 😉

Gaming boosts, rocketlake peaks at 164 and falls back to 130's. AVX512 goes to 260+

Looks like the powerdraw isn't a problem. With AIO the temperature is under 60c in games 🙄

Thats coming out a year later? Time to get out something new 🙂 Remember that proper competition is what everyone should want. If Intel beats AMD, then AMD beats Intel back, and repeat, its the best that can happen for consumers.

@IceVip had issues with his 10980xe running 100c under load. https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/running-a-10980xe-at-100c-24-7.432829/

Not that Big in all core bench! and with ddr 5 ..! It will be fun to see AM 5 in 2022 🙂

@nizzen people making problem that aren't there is the only reason why new cpu get sold.

Is that all you can do? Congratulation on having English as native language?

Would be great to know some details of the platform used. If it was on baseline ddr5 we can expect some higher number with tweaked memory.

Sure, but I didn't think having a sense of humour was limited to the English. 😀

A 30% improvement in single threaded performance over the 11900K? Fifty-two percent over the 10900K? If Intel really had this kind of a performer in real life applications on their hands, we'd be hearing about it nonstop for the past six months. We'll see soon enough. Though one thing is certain, this is big, if true. Huge, even.

Cinebench is one thing who knows how this hybrid cores will perform in games. Time will tell. Platform also supports ddr4 and ddr5 so it could be a huge discrepancy between the two.

What is the purpose of it having different cores? is it a power saving feature?

Beasty cpu.
