4K 144Hz, alright!!! I'm ready to set all my games to low detail 🤓

Holy moly ! This is probably the BEST gaming monitor in the world right now. Absolutely amazing specs... ... but probably it costs an arm and a leg and a few other body parts to match.

Last time i've read about a 27' 4k Monitor people complained 27 was small for 4k and 1440p was ideal. I'm confused now. o.O

I've heard rumors that the 4K 144Hz Asus counterpart PG27UQ will cost close to $2,000.00! If those rumors are true then it looks like Asus and possibly Acer are shooting themselves in the foot. I can't see anyone except diehard enthusiasts spending that much money for a monitor. $1,300.00 for their ultrawides was already too expensive in my opinion.

Looking forward to announcements from other vendors in the 34-40" arena, not a fan of Acer build quality but nice specs all the same 🙂

Lol, they should rename the model to "How to be eternally disappointed by your GPU". I would get this DELL one over the Acer in a heartbeat:

Not a word about panel technology = TN panel. Not a word about response time = 8, 16 or even worst.

27 inch @ 4k is epic fail to small for that pixel.

"130% of the sRGB color space" Most likely some VA variant. Impossible to do that with TN. Plus IPS/VA panels with 144hz and 4ms existed for a while, it's just that they have pumped up the resolution and color accuracy. Which is awesome. 2000$... uh oh Anyone wants a kidney ? I don't really need two...

Want to change my monitor but most likely a 4k hdr 144hz with gsync will be out of my budget, will probably wait for 2k variants.

At that price it's true not many will buy it, however if we look at the specs of the Monitor, 4k and 144, you need a beast PC to achieve that, unless it's games like mobas, CSGO and Overwatch which don't push the Hardware that much, as such people can achieve 144 easier, which is better for competitive play than 60. On the other hand if we are talking about 2016 and onwards games that can barely get past 60FPS at 4k even in SLI this Monitor is completely useless for now because for those games people won't be able to achieve 144 at 4k for now. GTA5 for example barely gets close to 100 with 1080 Ti SLI, Witcher 3 is even worse. So yeah imo for now these 4k 144 monitors are useless because it's hard to achieve 144 @ 4k unless its CSGO, LoL, Dota 2 and the likes.

Uhm it says response time is 4ms for 4K and 1ms for the R1800:P Read m8. It's there now

Nvidia is gonna be showcasing their Volta GPU's (GTX2080 etc) in May. Those cards should be able to hit 144fps in 4K or close to it

If this monitor goes on sale for £1000 i'll buy it. If it's any more then Acer are just taking this piss for a 27" monitor. I can buy a nice 49" 4K Samsung tv with HDR otherwise. Same goes for Asus' P279UQ 4K 144hz G-sync HDR 27 monitor. If they actually do go ahead and release it for $2000 like their guy said it would be in the recent video, they'll hardly sell any.

4k, 144Hz, HDR, G-Sync, high gamut, quantum dot and eye tracking ay? Still not giving up 16:10!

I don't think they will be able to get 144 at 4k either, the past few years has pretty much been rebrands everywhere and only the Titan and Ti see notable improvements, yet the 1080 Ti in SLI gets around 70s in Witcher 3. I highly doubt a new Gen will double the performance at 4k even in SLI, i wish i was wrong tho, but i'm tired of rebrands, that includes Intel too milking people with their 4 cores.

this is basically experimental technology, expect problems.

uh... acer and asus both already have 2560x1440 gsync panels (and have the best panels in the market, so long as you can get one with no defects)
