Wow...do we need triple cards to hit those FPS? 😀

not really, it's just 2560x1080 so rather low res 🙁

AOC is supposed to bring those two 160Hz screens with FS soon. Wonder of Acer brings this screen to Freesync, or will limit its refresh rate even under 144Hz... (but their previous FS screens were not limited, so I am hopeful) Asus MG279Q while 144Hz limits Freesync to 90Hz max. Therefore this 200Hz screen is very good for us as it pushes again limits and shows that some manufacturers listen to customer's desires instead of dictating what you should want.

It will be mine. Oh yes....

Isn't 144Hz plenty? I got it so OFCOURSE it is.

That's what they said about 60hz and 100hz. How do you know what 200hz is like? Have you tried it?

Not too interesting tbh, not even with the XB270HU and soon finding it's successor.

Ridiculous overkill to sell to stupid people as usual and more of the "1Hz response rate" marketing BS too to complete the picture.

Low res for such monitor and price is too high (and we already have problems/optimization issues with many AAA titles to hit 120-144hz are you seriously thinking that even if some models overclocking will hit ~200hz is will be really doable for such games..? C'mon..).

Sorry Acer, no sale. That res is a joke

You dont have to be running 200 fps to be able to feel the benefit of high refresh rates. In some games i can feel the difference between 100 and 144 hz ,Far Cry 4 was one of them for me , I meen 120 was smooth but 144 was even smoother and less noticeable screen tearing to ... but still we will have to wait for a review . 🙂

Those do not apply under G-Sync / FreeSync as these technologies are variable refresh rate technologies. Aside from each frame being drawn in 1/200 s vs. 1 / 144 s, leading to slightly less input latency, 100FPS @ 144Hz G-Sync and 100FPS @ 200Hz G-Sync are identical in terms of smoothness and tearing.

exactly the only difference between 144hz and 200hz will be a slightly lower input latency, I think it's good manufacturers are increasing refresh rates tho but personally i'm not a fan of the curved screens, for me they seem to warp the image, still a nice screen tho despite the resolution.

Ofcourse the guys with 2x Titan X will say that. But for a guy like me with a 25inch UltraWide A 2560x1080 that wants above 75hz, this monitor is awesome. But he ll I can play BF4 @ 3440x1440 high settings and get an avg of 90 fps on 670 sli. So downsampling can help make up for it, even if it doesnt have the true higher pixel count.

still waiting on the 1440p 34 ultra with g-sync? lets goo!!

This res is far from a joke for sim racing. This is what we've been waiting for as an alternative to 3 screens at a res that allows for very high framerates. The fact it is capable of 200hz is just double win.

As someone who experienced 120Hz on CRT monitors long before 60Hz LCD monitors became the norm, 60Hz was never enough for me. ;>
