Height is like having a 28" monitor ( plus the ultra wide ) so imagine that you have to sit about ~80 cm far from monitor so you don't actually see its density and stay at sharp level. I was between 24" vs 27" 1080p (wide, you know, regualr ones..),when I saw the 27@1080p I didn't like that I would have to sit further that I used to. Same will be for this resolution on this monitor.

That's what they said about 60hz and 100hz. How do you know what 200hz is like? Have you tried it?
Diminishing returns comes to mind at this point. Going from 60 to 120 or 144 = Epic, going from 120/144 to 200 ... I doubt it. Much more interested in flatscreen technology that would have a more direct effect on the reduction of latency (as in "near CRT" like BTB and GTG). OLED maybe?

Oh Hell yeah. I do want this.

Weird...many posts here comes with sarcasm or is it stupidity..?

Oh damn, and I'm still running ancient 60Hz lol. Although I'm still to find a 1440p+, IPS, 16:9, 30"+, 144Hz, g-sync monitor. 🙂

"100 Hz is nowhere near enough. 200 Hz would be a significant improvement but still not enough; the sweet spot for 1080p at 90 degrees FOV is probably somewhere between 300 and 1000 Hz" Michael Abrash (Oculus cheif scientist) http://blogs.valvesoftware.com/abrash/down-the-vr-rabbit-hole-fixing-judder/ Hopefully as new monitors come along in the next few years we will find out where the point of diminishing returns is! I also want lower input latency too, I want everything 🙂

Perhaps sidetracking a bit, but are you guys aware that increased polling rate on the mouse indirectly influences camera movement and screen tearing, etc? A guy at a mice forum took some high fps camera footage at 125, 500 and 1000 Hz and compared frame updates, the change in motion on the screen was noticeably smoother on 1000 Hz. Also wouldn't surprise me that different rules apply for virtual reality/3D.

Very old news really that 1000hz mouse makes stuff smoother :infinity:

mehh , not impressed... I'm set for the next 10 years with philips bdm4065uc, a 40" 4k VA, sli Vsynced @60hz, smooth as silk and no lags or motion blur, plus it cost me half those screens for some reason ,so didnt have to sell an arm and a leg. If black levels and color reproduction is important, worth checking it out more importantly, check if your display can do chroma 4:4:4 @4k 60hz, over display port 1.2, http://www.geeks3d.com/20141203/how-to-quickly-check-the-chroma-subsampling-used-with-your-4k-uhd-tv/ this panel passes this test fine

Yes, but alot of people underestimate how much 1 device it's latency can influence the other.

60 to 144Hz is awesome, so 144hz to 200hz I think it will be insane

Yes, the pixel density of this monitor is only fractionally less than a 27" 1080p 24" 1080p PPI - 91 27" 1080p PPI - 81 35" 2560x1080 PPI - 79
