Will the extra bandwidth on the new 3060ti improve performance much - is the 3060ti currently bandwidth limited?

It really isn't. This only makes sense if they prepare a 192-bit/12GB variant.

Bet they're gonna look pretty sitting all neatly stacked on those pallets in the warehouse, because noone will buy these at this point.

Someone has an EXCESS inventory of old crypto, er... GPU chips... and needs to move it to the gamer peasants before unloading even more expensive crypto, er... gamer GPU chips... sigh...

If that's the case then it would probably be better to have the one with more VRAM and less bandwidth. In the past when I've overclocked VRAM on all the various GPUs I've had it's made some kind of a difference, generally less of a proportional difference to overclocking the core - it seems most GPUs are not memory bandwidth starved, but you will know when you run out of VRAM. 8GB vs 12GB when talking about the RTX 3060ti - I'm thinking the card has enough legs in the future to make 12GB relevant vs 8GB, what you think?

And for greater offence, bet they're not willing to lower price to pre mining levels so they'll just sit on the warehouses.

No need for it, they are still outselling AMD... AMD only dropped prices because people are not buying their GPUs and new ones are almost here. Also, if naming is true, nvidia did not disappoint. They are still sticking with AMD when it comes to naming shenanigans...
