another one of these stories, they pop up more often than zits on a teenager. here in the UK a lot of intel stuff has never been availible since they were released for crying out loud, you're ok if you want an i5/7/9 and buggered if you want a pentium or i3, you have more chance of ------- on a barbie doll. people aint buying intel because they cant.
its simple, if the butcher doesnt have beef you buy pork.

History is being written ladies and gentlemen. Doesn't really matter if it's only one shop or a more global trend, the important thing here is that we, the customers, are finally presented with a viable choice.
Competition is a good thing whether you are an Intel of AMD fanboy. Imagine how expensive the 10k lineup from Intel would have been unless Zen was launched.

You are suggesting that i5 to i9 are available while i3 or penitum are not?
I imagine that if you want to save money on cpu AMD is where the real value is, while if you want some bragging rights then you need an i9/i7 top of the line.
Why would people buy an i3 nowadays with the 3600 being cheap?
And also why would you compare i3 and pentiums to beef?

why buy a 3600 when you dont need it? not everyone is running skynet or cares about frame rates, 2c/4t and 4c/4t is enough for some people, g5420 is 56quid, 3600 155. you can get a pentium board and ram(4gb - 8gb) for the price of the 3600 alone.
