I wonder when humanity will collectively understand how damaging to the society are the so called "social" networks and by extension, smartphones.
I'm looking at people everywhere and thinking "Phone Zombie Generation" ... everyone is stuck with their nose glued to the phone (most browsing facebook, instagram, twitter), barely noticing the world around them anymore.

Great news for ewaste. Now to hopefully train the masses to not wanting to upgrade every damn year.
I gave up on contracts two years ago in 2020. I got a 128GB Poco X3 NFC for £249 and plan on using it until it dies. I have flashed a new recovery TWRP with Android 12 support and I am currently running ArrowOS w/ Gapps which runs Android 12.
I simply don't need anything faster, the camera is good enough and with GCam installed its even better, the battery is insane (5000+).
The Poco X4 is out now and I have no desire to upgrade at all, will more than likely be the Poco X6 or 7 before I start seeing my X3 die off.

Still using 6 or was it 7 years old Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, rooted, debloated, still runs like a champ, more than enough fast for my needs. Mint condition, looks like it's just got out of the factory. Great cameras with EIS, it has physical Home button (hate phones without it), wireless charging, NFC, GPS, it has IR blaster so with Mi Remote I could control any device in my house or office (all ACs from many different brands, any TV, HiFi, Bluetooth soundbar...) and its 5.1" Super AMOLED 1440 x 2560 screen is just superb, curved edges makes it look really pervert 😀 Around 130 grams weight perfectly fits my needs, no way I could stand bigger or heavier phone (when I see those giant round 300 grams new gen phones my kids are using with two hands I'm just horrified). Last year changed exhausted original battery with new one and now it lasts on average 2 days with lots of talk, Viber, YT, sometimes battery stretches even up to 2.5 days. Can fit comfortably in my front pants pockets and be almost invisible looking from outside. The only one Android devide that I haven't flashed to custom ROM with newer Android (LineageOS of course) because I'm scared to lose any of the functionalities of the original ROM running Android 7.0 has. Gonna use it until it dies.
