Wow, based on the specifications of this device, it is indeed VERY cheap. For $300 you get a 5.5-inch full HD display, 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel Exmor camera sensor from Sony, with an f/2.0 aperture and six lens elements. It can even record 4K video as well as slow motion in 720p HD, impressive to say at the very least! Can you imagine the cost of an Apple smartphone having the same specification? It would cost over $1000 easily since your only paying for the name... This move will hopefully force competitors to decrease prices making competition even better.

I was really waiting for this phone but the size makes it a no go for me. Even my HTC One X is sometimes too big for me. It doesn't matter how cheap it is, it is simply too huge. I would even call it a phone this is a small tablet.

i bought my Galaxy S3 in July 2013 and run a custom 4.4.2 rom, it works awesome. But this new one phone seems to be too good for price, if it holds then it kinda sure buy.

It has a nice price and great specs but I can not get over the fact that it is too large for me.

I'll smash my old 4S to get one for a dollar but stay away from my M8.

I don't know about this phone. I'm curious to see an actual review from a reputable source on it. I kinda hope Brian Klug at anand gets ahold of one soon. On paper, aside from the size, everything about the phone seems top spec. Tri Mics, top end screen, top end camera (though I bet CM's Camera software is terrible), top end proc, memory, battery, etc. But I bet they messed something up to hit that price point. Whether they flaked out on thermal engineering and the processor overheats, or the camera sensor does (Z2 already does), there has to be something wrong here. Maybe build quality? Something. It just doesn't make sense that they can shove all that in there at that price. I'll probably end up buying one anyway to play around with but I'm not sure I could ever use a phone that large.

I'd smash my younger brothers S4 Active with a hammer to get one for a dollar but not my Xperia Z Ultra. 😀

Waterproof? There is a section of water testing, or am I mistaken!?

I´m the only one curious about how they can sell a phone with this specs at this price??? Are they stealing the components or something like that??? Or are the other companies stealing their customers like Intel??? Too bad i don´t like big phones otherwise i would get this one.

TirolokoRD: there is a part of that video that shows the phone under some water drops, it might resist that but it is not a certified water proof device. If you read this Hilbert Hagedoorn: Why use such horrible unofficial render of the phone when the actual device is already out for everyone to see? The production unit is quite different.

What kind of warranty? Then like it has been said, if it's too good to be true... It all sounds great but who is going to start the law suits first?
