I wonder what the win10 percentage would be if there wasn't a free upgrade.

4 gaming PCs here. All running Windows 10. All running 1920x1080 resolution. All running Chrome as primary browser. The epitome of average. 🤓

Windows 7 x64 remains the best operating system for me, much softer in games that Windows 8.1, the issue that Windows 8.1 has with 59 hrz greatly influences the smoothness games, I think windos 10 has that problem at so I stay with windows 7.

Bought a cheap 4K last year, best buy of the year ! (I admit that i don't care much about colour nor refresh rate, anything 60Hz is fine for me, just love high resolution and couldn't bear 1080p any longer

That means 19% of the users don't have issues with MS Spying their system 🙂

Google Analytics guys, trust me I do not know your pin-codes or anything !
Actually the number may be higher since other people like me may block those hosts in their router ...

I'm a little surprised the numbers of people with QHD are so low, especially with the faster [than I expected] drop in prices. Tempting new tech Just around the corner is holding my purchase back for now... cheap QD manufacturing processes? ^^ (and OLED hopefulness before that, till I found out the cost this year of the Damn Things O.o )

Here we go again... 59hz and 60hz are the SAME leaving your graphics card. Windows can't show 59.94hz so it shows 59hz instead. 60hz is a compatibility setting for applications that would treat 59hz as 59.00hz. Same applies for 23hz and 24hz or 29hz and 30hz. Upgrade to Windows 10 and pick 59hz 🤓

So, seems like roughly 25% of the readers here are Mac, iOS, Linux, or Android based.

I mostly visit guru3d at work on my Sony Xperia z (tablet) so that puts me into 1200p, chrome and Android lollipop. But on steam im in the 3840x2160 on Windows 10 pro 🤓 The results are not always that simple.

Yeah, wonder what percentage phone/tablet use would be, where you seeing 25‰. I post more from mobile devices than on my PC.

Very interesting stats . I mainly access from my main desktop PC with 2560x1440,win 8.1 as i rolled back from 10 the other day and my windows tablet 1920x1080 win 10 when having a poo or in bed ......

Can't stand this forum on my phone, no mobile theme makes it a PITA to use and read

36% has a screen resolution of 1920x1080, second place is taken by 1366x768 (laptops) with 9% and then resolutions of 2560x1440, 1920x1200, 1680x1050 all eat away roughly 5% Ultra HD at 3840x2160 is used by 0.35% of you guys and 3440x1440 is used by 0.32%
In graph form: http://s30.postimg.org/b8y8q5ac1/meta_chart_1.jpg In other words, even on an enthusiast forum and website, where most of the people are likely to be running well above average systems (and claim to do so), the results speak for themselves. And just to note, this pie chart leaves out roughly 49.33% of other results not mentioned by Hilbert. To all of you arguing over 4K speed, etc., eat your heart out. Reviews (and reviewers) are placing far too much importance on 4K or similar 1440p+ resolutions, which barely is half-a-percent of an enthusiast forum/website, say nothing of mainstream. Just a thought...

Because people are moving to laptops, tablets, phones and TV's for consumption and productivity. Just because there are new screens on the market, doesn't mean the uptake is going to be what it used to. I don't know anyone who bought a new computer screen unless it was to replace an old broken one. Almost everyone I know either uses a laptop or hooks up a computer to a TV screen they have. People here on this forum are the minority of the minority.

Hmm yeah, I never tried it before until now - it is pretty bad. If it supported something like tapatalk it'd probably be fine. But, guru3D is about PCs (typically desktops) so I guess mobile users aren't enough of a marketshare.

I´ll upgrade to W10 after they solve their spyware issues until then they can keep it, if even for free! And for the curious ones, i´m also using an 1920x1080 screen and my browser is Firefox. I would like to upgrade my current screen to a 2560x1680 one but they are so rare and expensive...

I wonder how many of us here are using ultra wide monitors, as I'm on one.

So true, more and more people don't want to be tied to a desk which is very understandable. I work from home as a programmer, so its only a matter of time before I get a bigger screen. Honestly would have bought one by now if not for a few unexpected expenses.
