Project Crynosaurs - Tech Demo v1.0

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/04/2013 09:46 AM | source: | 8 comment(s)

Project Crynosaurs is a collaborative game design effort with a single goal, to put dinosaurs into CryENGINE 3! In this demo, players can control a compsognathus. As the team notes, this tech demo is far from perfection. Some of you will encounter some interesting bugs, most of which they are painfully aware of and working on.

Here we go again. People have been trying to make a dino game/mod, mainly Jurassic Park inspired, since the first CryEngine.

Fun fact: it was a Jurassic Park game, Trespasser, which was the first game engine that had real time physics.

The clarity of the graphics in this clip is fantastic!
Dunno what they'd be like on a posh, high-end card like some of you have, but with my current card, I have no complaints at all. :)

Yep. I know the raptors and t-rex in it scared the hell out of me for the game being so unfinished.

I just checked Trescom and I guess someone is remaking the entire game: http://trespassingpetrolia.com/
