NVIDIA Tegra 4 SoC at CES 2013
Though most of NVIDIAs Tegra chips ended up in tablets, their Tegra 3 has been a success. Nvidia will launchs its all new Tegra solution for mobile devices at the upcoming CES. Two products will be released, the Tegra 4 codenamed Wayne and SoC solution codenamed Grey.
"We think we will announce our [next-generation Tegra] products at CES and our customers will announce their products at MWC," said Chris Evenden, director of investor relations of Nvidia.
Tegra 4 "Wayne" mobile processors will be expected to target the upper segment of the market and be based on the ARM Cortex-A15 cores (4 +1) and a new generation GeForce GPU for mobile devices while "Grey" comes with integrated 3G and LTE modems intended for cheaper mobile.
The ICs are manufactured with a 28 nm process. Availability is expected in the second half of 2013.

I think it will perform well, seen the jumps nVidia made from Tegra 2 to 3. This will not be a faillure i gues!

tegra 3 is very nice especially for apps/games that are optimized for it. It also does a nice job with battery life.
I hope tegra 4 = nexus 8 ?

I wonder how it'll perform compared to the competition. Tegra 3 was pretty good, but it was rumored to be game-changing, and it turned out to be just average compared to the rest.
