NVIDIA: GT200 will support 3D Vision Surround

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/13/2010 12:42 PM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Good news for GeForce GTX 260, 275, 280, 285 and 295 owners. Much like ATI's Eyefinity 3D Vision Surround will be supported on that series as well.

3D Vision Surround offers 3D Vision support spanned across 3 displays, effectively allowing you to run three 3D displays simultaneously. NVIDIA says you can also use Surround in 2D mode also. In addition to supporting GF100 Fermi, NVIDIA also confirmed that existing GT200 cards will also support 3D Vision Surround.

Bare in mind though that SLI will be a requirement as the cards can only coop with 2 DVI outputs. It's great fun though.
