Mushkin Blackline DDR3 for LGA1156 and LGA1366

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/15/2010 12:18 PM | source: | 0 comment(s)

The number of high-end memory for LGA1156 and LGA1366 motherboards certainly is on the rise. Now Mushkin has launched three memory kits with considerable overclocking abilities as part of the Blackline series.

"These new memory products we are introducing give our customers superior flexibility with their systems. Whether they are looking for a high density 8GB or 12GB kit with fast DDR3-1600 CL7 performance, or a lower density kit that allows them to overclock their machines to levels they never dreamed possible, Mushkin Enhanced has their needs covered," Brian Flood, director of product development, said.

The company's new kits are are made up of memory modules of 2GB or 4GB, all of which operate on 1.65V. The products boost performance to very high levels through their combined memory densities of either 8GB or even 12GB. The 996801 CL9 is set to become a strong presence on the DDR3-2000 2x2GB performance segment.

"The 996801 kit will be of unrivaled value in the DDR3-2000 2x2GB performance segment. Adding to the value of this high performance memory kit are its considerable overclocking abilities, allowing enthusiasts to increase their clock speeds without dropping the memory ratio and thereby sacrificing performance," the press release noted.

The other two kits, the CL7 996798 and 998798 are, respectively, made up of two 4GB modules and three 4GB modules. They "provide free slots for future memory expansion while boosting memory performance to exceptional levels."

The 996801, 996798 and 998798 DDR3 memory kits are designed with Frostbyte heatspreaders and come with a lifetime warranty. Prices have not been mentioned, but they will become available sometime during the following weeks.
