Corsair now enters the tool market with its PC DIY Precision Toolkit. This toolkit is similar to the iFixit Mako Driver Kit, promising precision and efficacy in PC building endeavors.

The pursuit of a striking and high-performance PC encompasses not only showcasing the end result but also deriving satisfaction from the assembly process. Many enthusiasts find gratification in physically constructing a PC, transforming a collection of components into a functional and aesthetically pleasing system.

Corsair's PC DIY Precision Toolkit, featuring 65 pieces like its iFixit counterpart, caters to the needs of individuals seeking to build PCs. The toolkit includes a flexible extension bar, akin to the iFixit Mako Driver Kit. Notably, Corsair elevates the experience with an enhanced grip on the handle, boasting an aluminum top cap that supersedes the plastic counterpart of iFixit. Additionally, both kits share a magnetic closure mechanism for secure storage.

Distinguishing the two sets lies in their array of available bits. Corsair provides an assortment of remarkably slender tool sizes, particularly for Philips and pentalobe screws, outclassing iFixit in this aspect. However, iFixit offers more compact Torx sizes within their collection.

Key Features of the Corsair PC DIY Precision Toolkit:

  • Comprehensive Screw Handling: Equipped to drive and remove screws of varying sizes, including those found in PC cases, motherboards, M.2 drives, video cards, and more.
  • 65 Nickel-Plated Screw Tips: Ensuring the right tool for every situation, while the included flexible extension rod facilitates access to even the most confined spaces.
  • Magnetized Convenience: The toolkit lid is magnetized, functioning as a tray to keep loose screws organized, with the screw tips themselves also benefiting from magnetization.

Corsair's PC DIY Precision Toolkit is presently exclusively available online through the company's official website, retailing at $34.99.
