ATI preps 12 new graphics cards for CES 2010 launch

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 12/03/2009 02:31 PM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Guru3D.com ImageAMD - ATI is not exactly sitting still. It is now rumoured that during CES 2010 (January) in Las Vegas ATI will introduce the entry level graphics cards. You can expect no less than twelve new models (give or take) !

We'll see Radeon HD 5400, HD 5500 and 5600 series graphics cards. Apparently in the 5600 series there will be six models alone.

It is fairly safe to assume that we'll see Eyefinity versions along with 512MB and 1GB versions. Within the series we'll no doubt see two model names which should consist of the HD 5650 and HD 5670 as shown yesterday.

As for the HD 5500 and HD 5400, we have been told that ATI will offer between two and three variances which means a total of six variances in those bottom two series and another six variances in the HD 5600 series bringing us to a grant total of 12 new video cards [via tt].

Not bad ATI, not bad.
