MSI GeForce GTX 660 HAWK review 4

Posted by: Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 10/22/2012 07:11 AM [ 9 comment(s) ]

We test and review the MSI GeForce GTX 660 HAWK graphics card. The HAWK is released in the mid-range segment, yet received a high-end treatment from MSI.  An all customized PCB, TwinFrozr IV cooler, military class components and to top it off, a very high factory overclock that places this product smack down in the middle of GeForce GTX 660 Ti performance.  The HAWK edition also comes with the V-Check points that allow voltage measurement points for enthusiasts wanting accurate voltage readings via multi-meter. Not bad for a 175 EUR card really.

Nice review as always, i'm wondering if 2 of these would be cheaper and faster than a top end 680.

oh btw this is the card you sat on and broke HH ? :) jk

Hey Hilbert does this thing have 7.1 output via HDMI or is that only limited to the higher end cards? I've been considering building a HTPC/Living room gaming box thing, so I'm looking for something on the cheaper side but 7.1 is a must.

Hey Hilbert, bottom of page 2 it says "ASUS definitely is using their own customized PCB alright."

MSI /=/ ASUS
