Any GeForce RTX 3090 Ti has been fitted with 24 Gigabytes of GDDR6X memory; it runs at 21 Gbps (effective datarate), and that's a lot of memory bandwidth for a gaming graphics card alright. We'll show you the specification details on the next pages. The IO panel shows three DisplayPort 1.4 and one  HDMI 2.1 connectors that will bring 8K 60 Hz HDR to a single HDMI cable. No more USB type-C VirtualLink connector, as that one is going the way of the dodo. The card has three fans and uses the new 16-pin power connector. The SUPRIM has a nice chic-looking shroud underneath it that powerful cooler. The design has some added features, a modernized TRI FROZR 2 cooler, of course, but the fans are based on the latest TORX FAN v4.0 design. Interesting is the backside, as it reveals an aluminum backplate, which should help provide passive thermal conduction properties towards the card. Everything on a hardware level has been improved with the SUPRIM X. Thickened copper (2oz) traces inside the PCB, brushed aluminum plating with precision-cut edges on the cooler's exterior. The dual BIOS is configured to Silent out of the box, for comfort,  the GAMING BIOS mode can be enabled for a 'cooler' running product. As explained on the previous page, the difference isn't performance, it's a different fan profile that offers your preference on temperature or silent acoustics. 

With dimensions of 336mm long, 140mm tall, and 61mm deep, this handcrafted behemoth dwarfs the Founders Edition and immediately seems substantial. The grey-and-black style should be recognizable - the design is largely the same as the RTX 3090 model - and considering the sheer size, MSI has done well to keep it looking stylish. The MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Suprim X has a TDP of up to 480 watts, necessitating a very big 3.5-slot design weighing 2.1 kg and a highly sophisticated cooling system with extensive material consumption. 

The flagship is released with a triple fan configuration, occupying 3.5 slots. When completely enlarged, the GA102 on the RTX 3090 Ti should have 10,752 Cuda cores, and, unlike the "regular" RTX 3090, faster GDDR6X memory with 21 Gbps from Micron (IZU46 D8BZC). The GPU boost frequency improves from 1,860 MHz to at least 1,950 MHz in gaming mode. The TDP of the RTX 3090 Ti Suprim X rises from 450 to 480 watts while remaining within the parameters of the 12VHWPR, which will be utilized on this model instead of three eight-pin connections. RGB lighting, which is greatly enhanced over the firm's earlier Gaming X models, contributes to the aesthetics. Colors are more brilliant, with seamless transitions and fewer obvious hot spots, and three lighting zones allow for complete customization: the chevrons between the three fans, the Suprim logo across the top edge, and the MSI Dragon on the back.

Of course, with a card of this magnitude, cooling is critical. When not in use, all three 95mm Torx 4.0 fans turn off, and when they do, they are helped by seven thick heatpipes crossing the board-encompassing heatsinks, thermal pads on all the critical components, and extra specific heatpipes and heatsinks for the memory modules. Temperatures are unlikely to be an issue, and thanks to the aluminium backplate and metal anti-bending strap, there's minimal hint of sag despite the card weighing little over 2kg.

The benefit of such stratospheric cooling is that MSI can let frequencies run wild. The boost clock is scaled up from 1,860 MHz to 1,950 MHz right out of the box. The three-slot design expands to a 3.5-slot design, with 200 grams greater weight. The latest spearhead from the business weights 2 kg and boasts a substantially bigger I/O shield with three DisplayPort 1.4 and one HDMI 2.1 ports.
